Are you new to the League? Unsure of what we mean when we say, "Program" and "Action"? Curious about how the League arrives at policy positions, and want to know where you can find all those policy statements?
Join us on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 7:00 pm to find out. Here is the Zoom link https://us06web.zoom.us/j/83828878055?pwd=TjueY20W1GhxgBo0j9eP9bb1smv5F1.1:
We'll review the current National Program, Defending Democracy, which includes protecting every citizen's voting rights, improving elections by making them more free, fair, and equitable, reducing big money's political influence, supporting fair redistricting, and abolishing the Electoral College. See https://www.lwv.org/
Next we'll discuss the process by which the League arrives at new positions, the foundations of our advocacy, and the glossary to understand what the League is talking about.
Lastly, we'll be exploring the online resources to understand League policies and how they are used.
